Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our 2-kilometer pedal-boat tour through one of France’s most spectacular natural gems.
Departure point: The Galetas bridge
Your visit begins in the Galetas beach, where you’ll be welcomed by our team, who’ll give you all the instructions you need for your trip. Once you’ve settled comfortably into your pedalo, you’ll begin your tour by heading to the Galetas bridge. Before the lake, this bridge didn’t exist. It was a quarry that exploited the pebbles produced by the Verdon over thousands of years that gave the place its name.
Section 1: The cliffs
Once you’ve warmed up and passed the bridge, you’re immediately surrounded by the towering limestone cliffs, rising majestically over 500 meters above the water. These impressive rock formations, millions of years old, bear witness to numerous geological upheavals.
Midway: The Serenity of the River
At the halfway point, after passing the tumultuous Saint-Maurin waterfall, you enter a wider part of the canyon. The calm, clear waters allow you to immerse yourself in the serenity of the place, and sometimes catch a glimpse of wildlife. It’s the ideal place to take a break, take photos or simply enjoy the surrounding beauty.
Final stretch: the protected area and yellow buoys
As you continue your journey, you’ll come across the famous Verdon River, which flows into the lake, depending on lake level. The yellow buoys of the nature park mark the end of the authorized boating zone. If you like, cool off with a swim in the river, whose temperature doesn’t exceed 15 degrees even in midsummer.
Return: behind the scenes
The return allows you to see the canyon from another spectacular angle. Enjoy the last moments of this unique adventure before returning to your starting point in Myc Plage nautical base.
This two-kilometer pedal-boat tour is perfect for families, couples and anyone wishing to discover the splendor of the Canyon du Verdon at their own pace. Come and enjoy an unforgettable experience in the heart of nature, combining relaxation, exploration and wonder.
